Plus Size Shorts

Basically I was wondering if it would be acceptable for me to wear mens boardshorts in place of women’s board shorts?

There aren’t as many womens available and they’re either short board shorts which I am not too keen on or in awful colours. Any nice womens shorts are quite expensive, whilst most mens look quite feminine anyway and are far cheaper. So do you think I could get away with wearing mens without looking weird?

I have had that exact same problem. I ended up buying guys board shorts….and you couldn’t even tell the difference. They look pretty much like girls shorts. So i would def. say buy the shorts…..No one will know!!

I had a daughter almost 18 months ago and a c-section so I have the tummy issue I need a new pair of jeans and everywhere I go they never fit right anymore….Lane Bryant they are either too big in the legs and too tight in the waist or the opposite!

Torrid’s jeans I’ve only tried once or twice

Fashion Bug the same exact jeans same size and everything even a size up doesn’t fit right they aren’t comfortable……

Lately I’ve been wearing stretchy pants lol after my daughter I had maybe 1 or 2 jeans all the other jeans I have are too big the pairs that fit well one is getting so old there getting holes and the other just isn’t that comfortable……

Where do you shop for jeans in a plus size????? I also need a plus size short lol I don’t want to hem the jeans lol

For me, it’s Omar the Tentmaker. It depends entirely on your body. Clothing manufacturers don’t use one last (like shoe companies do) to determine the shape their goods will fit in each size. (No, not even something pretty consistent like Levi.)

Instead, clothing cut varies from one style to the next. In general, designer clothing is cut small, especially through the hip and leg. Knits are often cut more generously in the first place. The only way to know is to go on a trying-not-buying spree and see what stores have lots of shorts clothing that fit you. Good luck!

I’m looking for some Bermuda shorts. I work in an office and I can wear some professional looking longer walking/bermuda shorts to work and i’m wondering where i can find some. any ideas?

Nordstrom & Macy’s also carry plus size shorts. Old Navy is the best bet for trendy, plus size items @ bargain prices.

I’m 6′ tall and don’t fit into XL size, I need like 1X. Danskin has plus size short, but they are kind of expensive. Target doesn’t have the stretch pants.

Yes, they have cute things out now for the full figured and it is designed to compliment them…they have a right to wear shorts and shirts…even if they don’t look good in them…but they do because like I said, they have cool looking fashions for the full figured and it makes them look good…

Well I wear that size at Delias, and I wear about 16 on a good day 18 on a normal day and 20 is a little baggy. For you I would probably try 16 or 18.

I’d like to find some board shorts that are not long like boy’s trunks, but that are not cut short like most of the “juniors” styles. Any suggestions? I’m not a plus size…I just have some extra padding in the rear.

I was just at Lands End and they have really good sizing charts!  Use those… they can also order husky sizes but those probably would b too big…. btw… I think the husky sizes R huge…so scratch that…. I was at Old Navy and they had some…

I hate not knowing if there will be anything in my size in stock and I hate always going straight for the back of the rack. I find it so embarassing and I feel like everyone is watching me, I even try to hide the tags and the hanger labels as I go through the checkout. I don’t like asking at the counter if they stock things in my size and I don’t like telling other people what size I am when they offer to get things for me…

I know inside that it is obvious from what I look like that Im not thin but I just feel so humiliated all the time and like people are all watching me thinking how ugly I am and wondering how my husband manages to sleep with me. I am so ashamed : ( I just took a leap of faith and asked my mother-in-law to buy and send me some board shorts (so I can go swimming) and I know that these shorts will be in the hands of her, my brother-in-law and his father-in-law which means they will ALL see what size I am (18-20 Australian) and I dunno, I just hate the thought of it Are you embarassed to or is it just me? And does anyone know how to stop feeling this way? I WANT to lose the weight (40 kilos from my pregnancy 2 years ago) but my sad downer attitude is getting in the way, along with my tendancy to eat a lot and rarely exercise. I just have no motivation, I just keep getting lower and lower.

You know what I have honestly come to realise (and this isn’t just to make you feel good it is truth)…no matter what a woman looks like it is her “spunk”, demeanor, and/or attitude that people draw their conclusions from…seriously…think about it…baby big is IN….get on board
