For me, it’s Omar the Tentmaker. It depends entirely on your body. Clothing manufacturers don’t use one last (like shoe companies do) to determine the shape their goods will fit in each size. (No, not even something pretty consistent like Levi.)
Instead, clothing cut varies from one style to the next. In general, designer clothing is cut small, especially through the hip and leg. Knits are often cut more generously in the first place. The only way to know is to go on a trying-not-buying spree and see what stores have lots of shorts clothing that fit you. Good luck!
