What is the difference between women’s board shorts & mens swimming trunks? Could I just buy a pair of swimming trunks & get away with it?
Board shorts are a bit too pricey for me. Also, I have square-ish shoulders, & I’m about average in the chest area (Bra Size = B36). What kind of bathing suit top would look best on me?

I mean, come on. 40+ dollars for a pair of board shorts, then about $40 for a complete bathing suit. When you have bills to pay, food to buy, etc. 80+ dollars is something I can’t afford. So far, I haven’t had any luck in finding anything cheap.
All I can tell you is to watch places that sell them, and hope that they go on sale. Maybe check out target or walmart. They might have something. If all else fails, I suppose you could buy a pair of swimming trunks. They ARE cheaper, but I don’t think I would do that.

Basically I was wondering if it would be acceptable for me to wear mens boardshorts in place of women’s board shorts?
There aren’t as many womens available and they’re either short board shorts which I am not too keen on or in awful colours. Any nice womens shorts are quite expensive, whilst most mens look quite feminine anyway and are far cheaper. So do you think I could get away with wearing mens without looking weird?
I have had that exact same problem. I ended up buying guys board shorts….and you couldn’t even tell the difference. They look pretty much like girls shorts. So i would def. say buy the shorts…..No one will know!!

I’d like to find some board shorts that are not long like boy’s trunks, but that are not cut short like most of the “juniors” styles. Any suggestions? I’m not a plus size…I just have some extra padding in the rear.

My local Walmart had 2 pair of OP brand of the longer board shorts. $12 and they looked pretty good.

Hi! I am going on vacation very soon! lucky me huh? Well we are going to do a lot of swimming and I want to get a tan. so I found a swim suit. Now I don’t like swimsuits that show a lot of skin so I chose this and also I only like board shorts/skirts. another thing you should know is I’m only 13 and I’m overwieght so thats why I don’t like to show much skin!
My advice would to wear a top and wear brown board shorts. Why I say brown instead of white is because when your swimming with black bottoms and white board shorts it’s probably going to go see through and since you said that you don’t want to show much skin I would refrain from the white shorts. Why brown instead of black though is because I was looking at the picture and I thought brown would look much more cuter than black and you would still get a tan because the color brown is close to the color black….. Otherwise have a great trip!!!!
