No no no… Wearing boxers and compression shorts is way too much. Plus it would just feel very wierd. I thought about this last year when i started wearing compression shorts, but if you think about how uncomfortable it would be i think you would understand References : experience

Nope. Compression material (and all other tights as well) are meant to go on your skin. The material, in addition to compressing your muscles (whatever the reason for that) also wicks away moisture from your skin, helping control your temperature when running. Your underwear will just hold the sweat, defeating the purpose of the compression material.
You can always put your underwear on over the compression shorts if you want, or go without underwear at all. References :

the real runners dont even need compression shorts, running shorts have a lining in them, let the balls breath
