POWER TO THE THICK CHICKS! Rock yo' isht, Girl!
How do you feel about skirts? I think an A-line denim skirt or a basic A-line black skirt I think is very flattering on plus sized women. Wrap-around dresses that accentuate your waist/bust line are VERY attractive, IMHO.
There is a website for plus-sized/abundantly curvacious women/girls(www.curvychick.com-I am cutemomof2.)On said site, there are several links to websites that specialize in plus-sized women's clothing.
Hope to see you on CC!

I like Torrid which is like Hot Topic for plus sizes. I also have found lots of cute tops at Ross that were not old fashioned. Sometimes Lane Bryant and right now is a good time cuz they have lots of cute mini skirts for the summer. 200 won't go that far there though. good luck..I feel ya.

What kind of boyfriend says your unfashionable? Does he have problem with your size and by saying your unfashionable is a hint that he is not comfortable with your size? Anyways from what you describe you are up on the fashion trends. Lane Bryant and Avenue are great places for the latest fashions they keep up with current trends a lot. As far as colors go, pastels are in, but it depends on your skin coloring too. Oh yeah Fashion Bug has trendy stuff too. Although some of there stuff is kinda cheap looking. Why don't you ask your boyfriend to go with you, and see what he would like you to wear and have him foot the bill if he doesn't like what you currently bought. Although I have a hunch this older guy is not the guy for you.

Here is my advice… 1.When you are shopping for clothes don't buy items that are attached to other items… it limits your wardrobe and plus size clothing is expensive. Buying separate items lets you mix and match so if you see a look you like… look for it in separates that way you can get way more use out of your investment.
2. When you are shopping to build your wardrobe buy simple items first… I know its really enticing to get the latest trend or the item that's a really cute print.. but that should come later… build your wardrobe with the basics and then add the trendy stuff later… for example buy two pairs of jeans one light wash , one dark wash, these should be simple no rhinestones or flowers or added details, nothing gaudy with logos on the back pockets etc… purchase comfortable dress slacks in solid colors (black, brown,Grey, navy blue)not prints such as pin stripes… you should spend a decent amount of money on the basic items that way they will be durable and last a long time… then you can shop cheaper for the trendy stuff that you wont wear a whole bunch…I hope these tips are helpful for you and I know you are probably wondering where to purchase this stuff try this link http://www.beautypluspower.com … some of my favorite stores are SVOBODA and Kiyonna! Have fun!

Oh, and look for asian-owned plus stores, they have cheap stuff at cheap prices. I like to call them disposable clothes, cuz after you wear them 3 or 4 times, they're done for! lol
