You may be a little short for plus size modeling, but not always. For plus size models it usually depends on the company you work for. Some will allow you to be under 5’6 but a lot wont. And sadly most people consider anything over a size 5/7/or 9 plus size. So I do think you would be in that category. If you know you have the face then the best way to start out may just be print ads. First off, I would start by asking hairdressing schools if they ever need hair models. Its a good easy way to get started into any type of modeling. Try and find any agencies in your area that are known for, or do a lot of plus size modeling. Go in for a consulation or call them and let them know your interest. Hope this helps!! References :
The top two agencies for plus size modeling are Ford (the Ford + division) and Wilhelmina (Ten-20 division)
However, you need to be at least 5’8" (ideally 5’9") to be considered. Plus size modeling requires many of the same things as other modeling – height, body proportions, good skin, great features, etc References : worked for an agency with a plus size division
