get a bucket and fill it up with warm water or u can use ur bathtub its way easier (but u can only use a bathtub if its one color)
you can buy dye at craft stores for about a dollar or less and follow the instructions (they come in powder and sometimes liquid) there are many colors to choose from
tie rubberbands on white shirts then dip them in the warm dyed water References :
rubber bands and Ritz die sold in super markets , put the bands on soak em in one color let dry and add more bands in a different spot and soak in a different color do it all the time no two come out the same its easy References : go ahead have some fun
Mix up your dyes. Pour them into spray bottles. Take your item, say a t-shirt, rumple it up and throw it onto the grass or a bunch of newspapers. Mess it up on the ground. Spray each color from a different direction. Pick up the shirt and turn it over. repeat the spraying. Be sure to leave some fabric without dye. Pick up and hang it on a line to dry. It is more of a marbled look than tye dye but it is easy, inexpensive and beautiful References : One of the techniques I used when I had my screen printing business. fun.
