i think they just dont fit tight as board shorts but i am sure if u look around u can find a good price somewhere

For guys, board shorts just don't have the mesh liner and they're usually longer and more durable. If you're not surfing much, a pair of trunks would be fine.

i would just go with a bikini and board shorts. They're not real pricey if you don't buy the BRAND ones. Nice brands like O'neil and Roxy shouldn't be too expensive and look GREAT.
Men's swimming trunks are huge. And flappy looking. Women's board shorts are cute, and hugs the figure a lil better.

Men's trunks are huge. And thy might be to large in the front for u since women dont have wieners. Women's board shorts are cute, and hugs the figure a lil better.

& I know what you mean about board shorts being expensive. I mean, come on. 40+ dollars for a pair of board shorts, then about $40 for a complete bathing suit. When you have bills to pay, food to buy, etc. 80+ dollars is something I can't afford. So far, I haven't had any luck in finding anything cheap. All I can tell you is to watch places that sell them, and hope that they go on sale. Maybe check out target or walmart. They might have something. If all else fails, I suppose you could buy a pair of swimming trunks. They ARE cheaper, but I don't think I would do that.
